2023 Community Survey

Background

In early 2023, the City of Brighton launched The National Community Survey (NCS) through Polco NRC (National Research Center) to get resident input on a wide range of community issues ranging from crime and safety and employment opportunities to overall quality of life. Residents were encouraged to take the community survey to help provide feedback to plan for Brighton's future. The National Community Survey allows Brighton to compare results and benchmark residents’ opinions against other communities across the country. The survey includes questions about quality of life, important characteristics of community, services provided by the City, and priorities for the future.

The survey collection period was from June 22, 2023 - Aug. 3, 2023. Survey methods included a mailed invitation or survey form delivered to 3,000 randomly-selected households or via an open participation period in which all Brighton residents could take the survey through a public online link.

The City will use the results of this survey to assist in decision making for future city services, policies and projects.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to take the survey!
