After plowing through dozens of entries, the City of Brighton is pleased to announce the nine winners of the city’s inaugural Name That Snowplow Contest. The winning submissions will name each of the nine snowplows for the 2021-2022 snow season.

About the Contest

The City of Brighton is excited to announce its inaugural Name that Snowplow contest! Elementary school students in Brighton are invited to submit their best and most creative name ideas for the city’s 9 snowplows for the 2021-2022 snow season. 

Students grades K-5 can submit their best names down below by Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. Winners will have an opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named and be recognized at a City Council meeting. 

Additionally, the contest winners will have an opportunity to ride alongside the snowplows they named during the city’s annual Festival of Lights parade (weather permitting). 

Winners will be notified by Nov. 30. 

Contest Rules

Help us name the city's snowplows for the 2021-2022 snow season! Send us your most creative and fun names by Friday, Nov. 19 for a chance to win! Please remember, parent/guardian permission is required to submit an idea.

  1. The name needs to be limited to a total of 15 characters, one to two words so it will fit on the sticker
  2. The name can't include your name
  3. No profanity or inappropriate language
