Ages 8+ are welcome to all fitness classes
Our fitness schedule will now allow kids age 8+ to attend fitness classes.
- An adult must be present for the entire class.
- Contact one of our fitness staff members if you have any questions or concerns.
An introductory class, taught by a certified personal trainer that encourages positive body image and emphasizes a safe weight training environment. Junior passes will be given to those who successfully complete this course and may be used with adult supervision in the weight room.
The class will cover:
- Weight room safety
- Etiquette and weight room rules
- Safe lifting techniques
- Proper use of machines and cardio equipment

Youth between the ages of 11-14 must be accompanied by a guardian 18 years or older, and a weight room card is REQUIRED to use the weight room. Must be age 11 at start of session.
At the foundation of training youth is the philosophy that ALL children should be provided the opportunity to develop their physical, mental, and social skills.
A 2 day/week comprehensive 60-minute program that is designed for children ages 11-14. The first 30 minutes of the workout is spent on movement and power which includes an active warm up, linear and lateral speed development, power development, quickness, plyometrics (jumping), and core strengthening. The second part of the workout is dedicated to explosive power and strength, increasing overall body strength and various forms of conditioning. The workout consists of functionally sound movement and strength training with a strong focus on basic and proper technique. The workout becomes progressively more challenging once basic movements have been mastered.
*Make up session will be offered for classes that fall on holidays and shutdown weeks *Must be age 11 at start of session.
