Bike to Work Day 2021
Wednesday, September 22, 2021
The City of Brighton encourages the community to leave their cars at home and enjoy bicycling to work on Wednesday, September 22 for Bike to Work Day. As part of tradition for this annual event, the City will host a bike-in breakfast from 6:45 - 8:30 a.m. at Emi Chikuma Splash Pad and Plaza (1750 Skeel Street). At the breakfast station, bicyclists can pick up a free breakfast burrito (first-come, first-served, while supplies last).
Brighton's Bike to Work Day is part of a statewide event is a statewide effort to provide a fun, encouraging and enticing day for both experienced and novice bicyclists to try commuting to work by bike. Benefits of biking to work include a positive impact on regional air quality, health and traffic congestion. Since 1995, the number of Bike to Work Day participants has risen steadily and due to the popularity of bicycling in Colorado, that trend is expected to continue this year.
