Join the City of Brighton's 2021 Earth Day & Arbor Day Events

In honor of Earth Day and Arbor Day, the City of Brighton will be hosting a series of events starting on April 20 to promote environmental protection and sustainability and the planting and preservation of trees. The community is invited to participate in the mix of virtual and in-person activities.

Tuesday, April 20: Arbor Day Proclamation and Arbor Day Poster Contest Recognition at 6 p.m. City Council meeting. Zoom link to join will be made available at on April 16.

Thursday, April 22: Sapling and seeds giveaway at City Hall (500 S. 4th Ave.) starting at 7:30 a.m. Brighton residents only. First-come, first-serve (while supplies last.) Details here.

Monday, April 26: Zoom Webinar: Introduction to Basic Landscaping - Right Plant, Right Place for Brighton from 5 - 6 p.m. Zoom Link: Telephone: 720-928-9299 or 877-853-5257 (toll-free) or 888-475-4499 (toll-free). Webinar ID: 814 6805 0786. More info here.

Wednesday, April 28: Poetry contest - Submit an original poem focusing on protecting our planet to by 5 p.m. The public will then vote for a winner on April 30.
