Trees through 2023 Tree Program available for purchase

Spruce up your yard with a tree from the City of Brighton’s 2023 Tree Program. Trees are now available for purchase at brightontreeprogram.com. The program is intended to encourage tree planting, species diversity and water conservation within the city.

The species of trees available are selected based on Brighton’s water demand and soil conditions. Fifteen species are available through the program: Hot Wings maple, northern catalpa, hackberry, Turkish filbert, thornless hawthorn, hardy rubber tree, honeylocust, Kentucky coffeetree, Amur maackia, Osage orange, Cleveland pear, Gambel oak, bur oak, English oak and Allee Lacebark elm. Each tree ranges in cost from $50 to $75 (maximum of two trees per household).

This program is for Brighton residents only. Ordering is available until all trees are sold out. To place an order, go to brightontreeprogram.com.

Trees will arrive in spring of 2023 - distribution details will be released when they become available. Participants of the program are responsible for all tree maintenance, pruning and watering. Master gardeners will be available to answer questions during tree pick-up. All trees purchased through the city’s tree program must be planted within Brighton city limits, on public right-of-way or on private property.

For questions about the city’s tree program, please contact Patrick LaPhilliph, City of Brighton Forester, at plaphilliph@brightonco.gov or 303-655-2048.
