2024 License Renewal applications are now being accepted on our portal Brightonco.Munirevs.com. Renewal applications will require you to resubmit information about your business to make sure we have updated information. Please mark “renewal” where it asks reason for submitting application.
All businesses with a physical location in City of Brighton (City), whether commercial or home based, are required to have an active business license issued by the City’s Finance Department. A business may be considered to have physical presence if the businesses' employees come in to the City to provide goods or services and may be required to have a license.
In accordance with Colo. Rev Stat.§ 39-26-802.9. no license is required for remote sellers or those with only incidental physical presence in the City that are properly licensed with the State.
Please note that renewal applications are subject to review and approval to ensure compliance with the City’s code.
Beginning in 2024 licenses will be issued through the end of the year in which they were issued.
For liquor licensing please contact the City Clerk’s Office.
For contractor licenses please contact the building and permitting division.
