Where We Water, How We Grow is provided by the Brighton Public Art Committee and is dedicated to the countless volunteers, past and present, whose tireless efforts over the last century have helped Brighton flourish. This sculpture recognizes their enduring spirit of service — a legacy that continues to shape Brighton and the community we are becoming.

Where We Water, How We Grow is a joyful tribute to the transformative power of volunteerism and a celebration of Brighton’s deep agricultural roots. This whimsical, immersive sculpture embodies the dynamic cycles of growth, resilience, and collective energy that emerge when a community comes together with purpose. It honors the ordinary acts of service that, over time, give rise to the extraordinary—and reflects the enduring spirit behind Brighton’s motto: “What we value today is what we become tomorrow.”
