Communications & Engagement

The Communications & Engagement Department is comprised of the Communications Office, Special Events, Arts & Culture, Youth Services, and The Armory Performing Arts Center.

Communications 

The Communications division strives to deliver accurate, timely and balanced information to a wide variety of audiences. The Office coordinates external and internal communications and works closely with City Council and city departments to provide information to residents, businesses, visitors, employees and media outlets. The Office is responsible for city publications, news releases, graphic design, KBRI-8, social media, and the City’s website. 

Youth Services

The Youth Services division plays an integral role in researching and developing programs and resources for youth and families in Brighton and overseeing the Brighton Youth Commission. The office also coordinates a summer internship program, FAFSA educational nights, the statewide youth summit, Brighton Youth Corps, and other youth-focused initiatives. 

Arts and Culture

The Arts and Culture division is responsible for coordinating the efforts of arts and cultural opportunities in the community to create better awareness and visibility. The office explores new arts and culture opportunities for Brighton and is responsible for coordinating the Eye 4 Art program and Art in the Park.
