Coming Soon: Brighton’s New Utility Billing System Launches Tuesday, March 31!
To better serve the community, the City of Brighton is launching a new utility billing system on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. The updated system will make your online bills easier to navigate, provide clearer information, and give you more convenient ways to manage your account.
Important payment notice
In order to make this transition, the current utility billing system will be unavailable from March 23-March 30. During this time customers will not be able to make utility payments. Customers will begin making payments in the new system when it launches on March 31. To ensure no one is impacted during this downtime, the City will waive late fees for bills due in April and May.
What customers need to know
- Bills will look different under the new system.
- All customers will need to re-register in the new online portal.
- If your account is on Auto-Pay, you will need to set this up again in the new system.
- All customers will receive a new account number and customer number, both of which will be needed to access your account in the new portal. This information will be mailed to you about a week before the new system goes live.
We’re excited to offer residents a simpler, more convenient way to view and pay utility bills. More information and instructions will be shared in the coming weeks
