[ARCHIVED] Gear up for Bike Brighton’s 2023 Full Moon Bike Rides

Tune up your bicycles for Bike Brighton’s 2023 Full Moon Bike Rides, happening April 4 through September 29. All rides begin at 6 p.m. following sign-ups from 5:30-6 p.m. at Brighton City Hall (500 S. 4th Ave. – South Parking Lot). A map of each ride will be posted on the Bike Brighton webpage.

Full Moon Bike Rides are family-friendly rides that are also suitable for advanced riders. This year, all riders will begin at the same time, but ride organizers can split faster riders into separate groups during the route, if needed. Snacks will be provided after each ride, along with a few bicycle-related giveaways.

All participants, regardless of age and ability, must sign a waiver prior to their first ride. This signed waiver is good for all Bike Brighton rides and events through December 31, 2023.

Prior to beginning each ride, Bike Brighton officials will conduct a short talk about rules, safety, and fun sights along the route.

Helmets and bike lights are strongly recommended. Each rider is also encouraged to bring their own water bottle during warmer months.

*Prior to the start of the Pink Moon Ride on April 4, consultants developing Brighton’s Bicycle, Pedestrian and Multimodal Plan will be on hand. Participants in the ride will have an opportunity to share feedback about ways Brighton can become a safer community for bicycling, rolling, and walking.

**Please note: There are two rides in August due to the Blue Moon being the second moon of the month.

If you have questions, please contact Mark Heidt, Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation and Bike Program Coordinator, at mheidt@brightonco.gov or (303) 655-2170.
